Maintenance of Fire Alarms

It is a recommendation of BS 5839, that fire alarm systems are maintained by a competent person (someone who has the relevant training and experience), a minimum of every six months, this may need to be increased depending on the size and complexity of the system.

Regular maintenance of your fire alarm system will provide peace of mind that, in the unfortunate event that your building has a fire, it will operate correctly and give early warning to protect the lives and property within. It also helps to keep false alarms to a minimum.
